FREMONT, Calif. — Parents planning around school closures can explore a city recreation program of Thanksgiving and winter break camps at community centers throughout Fremont.

Dates and ages

The City of Fremont’s recreation listing gives the Thanksgiving camp dates as November 23–25, 2026. Winter camp sessions are listed for December 21–23 and December 28–30. Programs are designed for children and teens from roughly ages 5 through 16, depending on the individual activity.

Different options across the city

Thanksgiving choices listed by the city include sports and tennis at Central Park, cooking and creative programs at Centerville Community Center, writing and public speaking at Warm Springs, coding and sports at Irvington, and a nature-themed program at Niles Program Center.

The winter lineup adds activities such as robotics and STEM, baking, art and science at various facilities, including Central Park, Centerville, Warm Springs, Irvington, Los Cerritos Community Center and the Olive Hyde Art Center. Not every activity is offered at every location or for every age group.

How families register

The city directs families to RegeRec.com for registration. Some programs offer separate extended-care sessions. Fees, availability, check-in requirements and any required forms vary, so parents should review the individual listing before committing.

For questions about accommodations, special assistance or registration, Fremont Recreation Services lists 510-494-4300 and RegeRec@fremont.gov.

The published schedule is not a guarantee that a camp still has space. Families should confirm current enrollment availability through the city’s system.
